About the Role

An Application Developer is responsible for creating, testing, and programming applications for computers, mobile devices, and other platforms. This role involves working closely with clients, internal teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into reliable, user-friendly software solutions.

You will collaborate with a team of IT professionals to design, build, test, and enhance applications that solve business problems and deliver value to end users.

Your Responsibilities

  • Understand client requirements and translate them into application features.
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to define specifications for new applications.
  • Design creative and functional prototypes based on business requirements.
  • Write high-quality source code to develop complete applications within deadlines.
  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch.
  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Evaluate existing applications and enhance them with updates and new features.
  • Develop technical documentation and handbooks to accurately represent design and code.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as an application developer.
  • Experience designing and building applications.
  • Ability to program in at least one language such as C#, Java (J2EE), or similar.
  • Knowledge of programming across diverse operating systems and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software design and programming principles.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
  • Certified application developer credentials are an advantage.
