About the Role

The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available data architectures across cloud and big data platforms. This role supports enterprise data processing, integration, quality, reconciliation, and analytics needs.

The position involves working with cloud platforms, Hadoop ecosystems, PySpark, Hive, Sqoop, and deployment workflows across SIT, UAT, and Production environments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available data architectures on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Create pre-install and post-install scripts for application and data deployment workflows.
  • Maintain code in Bitbucket and support deployments from SIT to UAT and Production through RLM.
  • Write PySpark scripts for integration with ETL, Data Quality, Reconciliation, and Data Profiling frameworks.
  • Work with big data technologies to support large-scale data processing and transformation.
  • Develop Hive queries for data analysis and Sqoop queries to import data into Hadoop.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple data sources.
  • Design and implement data security and access controls to support data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support analytics, reporting, and data engineering initiatives.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with PySpark, Hive, Sqoop, Hadoop, ETL, Data Quality, Reconciliation, and Data Profiling frameworks.
  • Experience maintaining code repositories such as Bitbucket.
  • Ability to support deployments across SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data quality, and access control practices.
  • Work location: Monroe Township, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
